Chevy GM Steel Valve Rocker Covers Older BBC 454 502 1980s 7.4L 8.2L MerCruiser?

Item Details UNKNOWN Chevy / GM BBC 454 7.4L / 502 8.2L V8 Valve covers possibly 370 400 440? I'm not sure if came off a MerCruiser engine or was something that was originally in a car as I don't see a MerCruiser identification sticker with a serial number. The black paint throws me off, so it might have been from something earlier like an early 80's TRS. These were mixed in with other valve covers I had, so it might have been an automotive application, but they are decent so I figured I would list them anyway.. Breather grommets are missing. Some dents & missing paint, surface rust, but insides are very clean otherwise. Found on models 1982-1992? You get the pair as pictured..
