Keep Reaching For some the war never ends, forgotten by a country they swore to defend. Although Lady Liberty seems cold as stone, reach out brother and sisters, you are not alone. For many soldiers, returning home from combat can be worse than war itself. Every soldiers combat experience and personal battles are different. However, to often one battle is very common among many soldiers returning home. They feel unwanted, unappreciated and abandoned by their family and country. Trying to switch from soldier to civilian can be extremely difficult and in some cases the transformation is impossible. Sadly, the United States Department of Veterans Affairs released a study that covered suicides from 1999 to 2010, which showed that roughly 22 veterans were dying by suicide per day, or one every 65 minutes.
