The First Light

The First Light 22"x23" oil on canvas 2/7/20 I love when I see the sun light through my window in the morning. The beginning of a new day feeling refreshed. Living in southern California I get this blinding sun light pretty much all year round, lucky me! I enjoyed painting this piece although it end up a little bit messy as I've been relying too much  on my drawing but I forced myself to be more free and relaxed on this one. It always gets messy when I start doing something new as I don't know what to expect around the corner. At least I tried hoping the feeling would be there that I try to achieve.
