Daniel Bilmes | "The Multi-Textured Portrait in Oils"
‘’I believe that one of the most important things for an artist is knowing ones own preferences. In this workshop I will demonstrate my personal approach to painting and the thought process behind my stylistic choices. Emphasis will be placed on composition, mood, and expression, as well as my analysis and interpretation. I think of the beginning of a painting, as almost a dance. It’s where I set the bones of a piece. The rest of the painting is built on that initial foundation. I try to infuse the start of every painting with as much movement and energy as possible — beginning with the longest brush strokes, and working my way to the details." - Daniel Bilmes Sections Materials - (07:26) Block-In - (56:36) Features - (28:08) Values Pt.1 - (28:33) Values Pt.2 - (24:41) Form - (27:28) End of Day - (39:10) Scraping - (15:28) Ear - (28:48) Ear Pt.2 - (25:14) Ear to Cheek - (23:21) Cheek to Features (29:11) Features (19:14) Finishing Touches (35:02) Specs: Unlimited Streaming @
