Yosef Ben-Jochannan

Dr. Yosef ben-Jochannan immigrated to the United States in 1940 and secured a position as a senior draftsman at Emery Roth & Sons, an architecture firm in New York City. In 1947, he began organizing and leading tours to Egypt, Ethiopia, and Sudan, which he continued to do biannually for many years. Dr. Ben-Jochannan collaborated extensively with other distinguished scholars of Africana studies such as John Henrik Clarke, Edward Scobie, and Leonard Jeffries. Dr. ben-Jochannan authored and published a vast body of work consisting of 49 books and papers, including We the Black Jews, Black Man of the Nile and His Family, and Africa: Mother of Major Western Religions.
