The Buenos Aires Tetra is a schooling fish native to South America that is compatible with larger tetras or barbs. This fish will swim within the top and middle levels of the aquarium. It’s a semi-aggressive community fish that can be kept with a fast swimming community fish. They are known to nip the fins of other fish. Shrimp should not be kept with this fish. Buenos Aires Tetras are best kept with artificial plants.
