Yerba Mate is the national drink of Paraguay, Argentina, Uruguay, and Southern Brazil where it is much more common to grab a yerba mate over a coffee. The dark liquor is accompanied by a woody aroma and a full-bodied, clean, toasty flavor.   Yerba Mate has the strength of coffee in terms of caffeine with without the jitters due to the calming natural chemical compounds (theophylline, and theobromine) found in the leaves of the South American Holly Tree in which it is harvested.
