Peacock in the Moonlight necklace

This regal peacock sits in the light of the soft glow of the crescent moon. Each piece is hand-crafted from a solid sheet of metal. I hammer and texture the tail with the feather details. I do layers and layers of patina to give it the vivid blues and greens that peacocks are known for. Multiple layers of clear coating help to protect the patina. Edges are brushed out to bring out some of the soft bronze color on the beak, chest and plumage. Patina varies from piece to piece, giving them each a unique artistic quality.
