The Tripp Lite SRCOOL7KRM is a rack-mounted air conditioning unit that provides close-coupled cooling power to prevent overheating, malfunctions, and failures in IT equipment. The self-contained SRCOOL7KRM mounts easily into 8U of rack space at the top or bottom of a rack enclosure. It comes with a magnetic air dam that attaches to the front door of the rack enclosure to ensure that the equipment draws cool air from the SRCOOL7KRM instead of drawing warm air from the room. This makes the unit more efficient than solutions that cool an entire room to achieve the same result. The SRCOOL7KRM also filters the air, and its built-in evaporator eliminates condensation, as well as the need for a floor drain or water collection tank. The unit is designed to plug into a standard 15-amp (NEMA 5-15R) outlet with its 7-foot cord. It also includes a built-in timer that allows you to schedule unattended shutdown and startup.
