This book was the official companion to the Smithsonian's exhibition Vikings: The North Atlantic Saga which toured a total a seven cities in both the United States and Canada from April, 2000 - May, 2003. Featured in the tour were the Viking Lewis Chessmen pieces from 1100 AD.
