The Story If you have kids, you know the feeling of trying to open a new toy... it looks so pretty in the package, but the effort required to release it is nothing short of an olympic sport! It's this sense of frustration and release of energy that compelled me to create this painting. All of my recent art has focused around expressing emotion, but in this series in particular I isolated individual emotions and put color, shape and texture to them.
