Amazing early glass and silver-plate humidor made in the early part of the 20th century, (maybe earlier) sometime between the 1890 and 1940. This is a tobacco jar/humidor with great embossed detail on the lid of a monk smoking a pipe and its original sponge in place to aid in humid and moisture retention. Twelve-sided glass body in great condition with no chips. Amazing patina throughout. Measures approximately 5 1/2" tall x 4" in diameter.
