According to Culture Cheese Magazine, cheddar cheese dates back to the 12th century.  And seemingly was made by accident when a pail of milk was left in a cave at a village by the name of Cheddar in Somerset, England.  The milk had hardened and had transformed into a golden yellow cheese.  Fast forward a few hundred years later and cheddar cheese is the second most popular cheese in the United States.  In 2019  12.9 billions pounds was produced, and each person in the US consumed about 40 pounds of it! Our classic Cheddar popcorn has a slightly sharper flavor than the also popular Buttery White Cheddar flavor.  This is also a great flavor to use as a mixer with other flavors like Caramel.  This cheddar & caramel mix is a very popular, made famous in Chicago and is called Chicago Mix or Windy City Mix.   CONTAINS: DAIRY
