Bison down is the inner insulating coat grown each winter to keep the American Bison alive in all temperature extremes.  We like it for our Herd Wear products because it is warm enough to keep you cozy and comfortable in any weather and has better wicking qualities than any synthetic material, they're also fire-retardant.
