Make & Wear Earrings: Stenciled Enamel Jewelry

DESCRIPTIONLearn the basics of kiln-fired enamel jewelry, and walk out into the world wearing the earrings and pendant you just made! This class covers the fundamentals of working with vitreous enamel on copper: sifting powdered glass, firing in a kiln, creating graphic patterns with stencils, and finishing your pieces. You'll learn how to build up layers of color, use stencils to add design elements, and fire multiple times to develop your surfaces. Once your enamel work is complete, we'll attach findings to finish a pair of earrings and a pendant. By the end of class, you'll have a solid foundation in the enamel process and finished pieces to wear or gift to a lucky loved one.
