When I’ve been worried about something or I need a sign that I’m on the right path, countless times a ladybug just appears and it feels like a wink from God. The term “God wink” is defined as an event or personal experience, often identified as coincidence, so astonishing that it is seen as a sign of divine intervention, especially when perceived as the answer to a prayer. Lady bugs are my God wink. A ladybug showed up on a piece of furniture the day we moved into our new house, there was one on the wall in Gus’ nursery a few days before he was born, and one on the car door as I loaded the boys into their carseats on the first day of school. Just last week, the imposter syndrome was hitting me hard as I prepped my art for this drop, so I went on a walk to clear my head, and BAM a ladybug landed on my shirt.
