Play: Issue 1

PLAY is a cookbook zine featuring recipes, essays, and artwork from a community of LGBTQ+ chefs, writers, and artists, including Andy Baraghani, Brontez Purnell, Julia Turshen, Rebekah Pepler, Magdalena O’Neal, Jon Kung, Isabel Rower, Tyler Givens, Michelle Hyun Kim, Sarah Stellwag, Preeti Mistry, Telly Justice, Lisa Fernandes, Chala June, Martine Guttierez, Lo Alalay, Meech Boakye, Silver Iocovozzi, Leo Kirts, and Alyssa Nitchun. Created as a way to celebrate and nourish the queer community, proceeds from all PLAY projects will be donated to queer mutual aid initiatives. All proceeds from this volume of the zine will go to two mutual aid projects addressing housing and food insecurity among the queer and trans communities: The Okra Project in NYC and Intransitive in Arkansas.
