Naiad - Automatic Timepiece Introducing the Naiad, an elegant and classy timepiece inspired by Greek mythology and the natural beauty of New Smyrna Beach. The Naiad, in Greek mythology, is a water spirit similar to mermaids and sirens that protects rivers, lakes, and other bodies of freshwater. The inspiration for this watch came from a stroll at Manatee Park in New Smyrna Beach, where a Greek monument to our fallen soldiers stands. The Naiad is a fully automatic timepiece featuring a highly respected clone movement (PT5000) to the popular e2824 found in brands such as Omega. This movement beats at a buttery smooth 28,800 bph(beats per hour). The Mermaid on the dial is a nod to the name Naiad and the Sirenia, the order of the mammals that manatees belong to. A portion of the profits from Naiad sales will be donated to our local Marine Discovery Center, in support of the protection and respect of these majestic creatures.
