"Fuck the future," Unwound guitarist Justin Trosper snidely said to 1000 kids in Bushwick. The band was on a 30th anniversary tear through their 1995 third album The Future Of What and had no interest in waxing optimistic about tomorrow. They finished with no encore, just the hope of feedback ringing in the ears of the Woundies that braved the distance. There were few t-shirts left, early tinnitus the only guaranteed souvenir. Until now. On offer: a heavyweight, hemp-colored Comfort Colors tee made of 100% cotton, with Ukrainian constructivist artist Yakov Chernikhov depiction of the city of the future under threat from a reptilian kaiju.
