Eastern Snowball Viburnum. This outstanding old cultivar first appeared in the 1600's and it sports 2.5-3" sterile heads of white flowers in spring. A mature plant can reach 8-10'. Plant in full sun to apart shade for best bloom. Dirr reports a specimen in Fargo, North Dakota, which experienced no dieback even when temperatures reached minus 30°F! Zones 3-8
