Upcycled Silk Short Jacket

A deep green silk saree with a woven red border served its owner as a saree for many years. When we got it into our hands, we wanted to make sure the woven border showed in its full splendor. Our designer came up with this open short jacket with the border at the sleeves and base. A matching green cotton lining completed the picture. The final product took our breath away, particularly when we realized the fabric could have ended up in landfill or stayed hidden from the world forever. Size: US Small (4)
