The Humboldt ExP-02

We’re excited to introduce the second watch in our Experimental Series, the Humboldt ExP-02! Horology is a bit of both art and mad science, and our Experimental Series is all about the “mad science” part. For this limited production Humboldt, we’re pushing the limits of our in-house production. We produced both the dials and bezels ourselves to create a sleek, capable tool watch with a refined, monochromatic design that showcases our commitment to craftsmanship. Laser light is used to cut the dials before they’re sandblasted to achieve a stunning matte grey finish. Each dial is then marked with a “ghost script” that shines or vanishes depending on the light. The watches are fitted with a fixed steel bezel machined right in our Chicago HQ on our trusty shop lathe. The intensive, hands-on production process results in watches that are as singular as the individuals who wear them.
