Soil Auger Kit

The Soil Auger Kit is a versatile, compact hand auger kit. Most commonly it is used to take a disturbed sample at or near the surface of soil. It includes a 12" handle, two 12" Extension Rods and a 12" Spiral Auger. The extension rods can be used together or separately depending on your sampling needs. When both extension rods are used the auger probe extends to 36" to save your back from bending and allowing for deeper sampling. The auger is 1 1/4" in diameter and has a double twist with a 2 1/2" pitch. The auger section is 8 1/2" long with a 4" shank. The screw shape of the auger is perfect for boring holes rapidly. Parts are easily taken apart for convenient, compact carrying in round 13" fiberboard case.
