Championship Hoop - Stainless Steel
The Championship hoop represents our best in croquet hoop engineering. The more rigid the hoop is, the more challenging it is to get the ball through. To achieve this, we are offering these in two stanchion diameters - 5/8" and 3/4". They extended to 10" underground. Rigidity is further enhanced with 3 fins welded securely to each stanchion. Further enhancing their challenging nature, the natural surface of stainless steel has a higher 'stickiness' to the surface so they are not powder coated (unless requested). Stainless hoops also don't rust. This is big benefit to clubs located near the ocean where the sea air hastens the rusting of regular steel hoops. The 120 degree orientation of the fins have the added benefit of being able to pull them out, turn them 180 degrees. The fins then cut new ground and are tight again. Consistency of the 3-3/4" opening remains exact from the ground to the crown (within tolerance of 1/64"). Knowing that everyone's clips are designed for 5/8" crowns, we
