 Sappho Crown with Reversible Clusters is constructed with over 5,000 beads and hand cut mirror clusters, that are hand threaded on high tensile strength nylon thread. A process that takes 15 hours to complete. Then the piece is lined in hand sewn velvet to ensure your comfort. The Gold version is made with 22k Gold coated beads.  The Pearl version is accented with premium Japanese synthetic pearls.    This piece will arrive in our custom storage box with our signature velvet display stand.   Sappho Crown w/ Reversible Clusters is named after Sappho of Lesbos (c. 620-570 BCE) was a lyric poet whose work was so popular in ancient Greece, and beyond, that she was honored in statuary and praised by figures such as Solon and Plato. Sappho was given different honorary names such as the "Tenth Muse" and "The Poetess". She ranks with Archilochus and Alcaeus, among Greek poets, for her ability to impress readers with a lively sense of her personality. Her language contains elements from Aeolic vernacular speech and Aeolic poetic tradition, with traces of epic vocabulary familiar to readers of Homer.
