Flaming Prawn Goby
The Flaming Prawn Goby (Discordipinna griessingeri) is one of the rarest and most spectacular nano gobies in the saltwater hobby. Tiny in size but absolutely electric in color — fiery red and orange body with brilliant white and yellow markings across the face, plus an oversized, flame-shaped dorsal fin patterned like a tropical sunset. A true micro-jewel for the reef. Flaming Prawn Gobies are notoriously secretive and shy in nature, spending most of their time near small rock crevices and forming optional partnerships with pistol shrimp. Unlike larger prawn gobies, they don't always pair with shrimp — but when they do, the bond is fascinating to observe. Even on their own, they're peaceful, reef-safe, and add a flash of unmistakable color to any nano system.
