Shield-maidens were women who had chosen to fight as warriors, alongside men in Scandinavian folklore and mythology. Their shields stood strong, their swords were unforgiving. Their brave stories inspire us to keep our heads high, + fight. To stand tall as equals to face all of life’s battles. Our Shield-maiden candle is inspired by just that.
