Herkimer Diamond with Calcite, Dolomite, Pyrite II

 This specimen hails from the St. Johnsville area in New York.  What an incredibly fascinating example of the diverse crystals that formed together in this area.   Along with a Herkimer diamond with anthraxolite inclusions, there are a few other beauties tucked in between some large lovely calcite crystals, both white and golden (although the gold is not as pronounced on the actual crystal as it appears in the photos).  The matrix is sprinkled with saddle dolomite crystals and pyrite.   1.88 lbs, 5.5" x 4"
