Rare WW2 Era 1940s Women’s Factory-Made Double Side Button Workwear Denim
WW2 era factory-made with the United Garment Workers Union Label inside the pocket, double needle stitching with double felled seams, laurel wreath buttons, and slanted front pockets. These were an absolute labor of love from start to finish and I‘m able to bring these to you because of Kelsey from @baucomdenim who drafted a pant leg pattern and re-created one of the legs with vintage denim she had on hand, as well as replacing two of the laurel wreath buttons that had completely rusted and broken off. These were completely unwearable as found and with a lot of effort and money invested, these are now strong enough for another lifetime or two of wear. This unique pair of ladies denim came as a bit of a conundrum; but with the help of some of the most knowledgeable denim experts in the industry that I know, we have a date pin pointed around 1944 for this pair of ladies denim. Attached in the photos at the end is an ad from 1944 Montgomery Ward catalog from @barbary_bradly and @solid.g
