Wood Weft Basket (Small)

OCxTWM02     Ash, colored thread   10 x 7 x 7"  A small tabletop object in solid ash, done using the same weaving technique as our larger basket - thin wooden strips woven directly into a colorful mix of waste threads on a floor loom.  Wrapped around an oval base - a nod to those charming Shaker bentwood boxes which share a similar mix of utility and beauty - the excess threads are then tied together in a fringed tassel to close the loop and create a decorative focal point down the front of the piece.
