Untreated Birch Cutting Board

  The cutting board is crafted from premium untreated birch in Sweden. It is important to handle wood, a living material, with care for its optimal durability. Before first use, treat the board by wiping it down with a clean, dry cloth and generously applying a food-grade oil such as cold pressed linseed or cooking oil. Repeat this process 3-5 times until the surface feels saturated and no longer absorbs oil. To prevent cracking, it is recommended to periodically repeat this treatment throughout the board's lifetime. As the surface may wear out after years of use, lightly sand it with fine sandpaper and re-oil afterwards. After each use, wash the board by hand with cold and then hot water, using mild detergent if necessary. Never wash in a dishwasher or soak in the sink to maintain its quality.
