Sarah Stickney Ellis (1799–1872) was an English author known for her books on women's roles in society. She wrote extensively on the social duties and domestic habits of women, particularly those of the middle class, and is considered one of the most popular writers of Victorian conduct literature. Her best-known works include The Women of England, The Wives of England, The Mothers of England, and The Daughters of England. She was married to William Ellis, a missionary and author.
