Portland Head Light, Maine

The Portland Head Light is a historic lighthouse located in the town of Cape Elizabeth, Maine. The lighthouse sits at the entrance of a shipping channel into Portland Harbor. Construction of the lighthouse began in 1787 and was completed several years later in 1791. This photograph of the lighthouse and the attached keeper's house dates back to the early 1900s.  The team at Old Town Print Gallery has carefully digitally restored this historic image, returning it to its original condition.
