Wicked Edge Balsa Strops Pack These strops come as a pair of handles with Balsa strips on both sides. The handles are labeled "Fine" and "Coarse" to assist in differentiating grit size applied to the balsa. Balsa has proven to be an excellent material for stropping knives. The combination of the smooth, porous surface with slight pliability makes it a perfect choice as a honing accessory. The surface is just rigid enough that it makes easy work of standing up a rolled edge. The porous surface means that it accepts and holds stropping compounds well.
