Description Details Directions Bottle wax beads can be used to create a wax seal on beer, wine or liquor bottles. A wax seal can reduce oxidation during aging and add an attractive finish. One pound of wax can coat approximately 40 to 80 bottles depending on the thickness and coverage area. Form: Beads Weight: 1lb (454g) Wax can be melted using a double-boiler method and left-over wax can be re-melted for later use. Bottles can be dipped into the wax to coat the entire bottle neck. Wine bottles can also be capped with wax by first over-inserting the cork in the bottle by about an 1/8th to 1/4in and pouring a small amount of wax on the cork to fill the recess. Heat wax to 160º - 170ºF degrees for dipping or 185º - 205ºF when using the capping or pouring method.
