OCCHIPINTI 2024 Rosso 'SP68" (Sicily, Italy)

Named after the road the winery is situated on, the SP68 red is a similar blend to the great gande vino of the estate, the Grotte Alte Cerasuolo di Vittoria. It consists of 70% Frappato and 30% Nero d’Avola. Made in a more everyday style than the Grotte Alte, it is fermented and aged for 6 months in stainless steel tanks. It has red and black fruit characteristics and is hard to resist. Occhipinti, named after winemaker Arianna Occhipinti, has a cult following that is well deserved. A leader in low intervention, native Sicilian winemaking, she is turning heads across the world. We are happy to have a small selection of her celebrated wines in store.
