It is a single-vineyard Syrah from one of the warmest sites in Cornas. The vines are 110 years old. They are low-yielding vines that produce grapes of great maturity & depth of flavor. Rich, chocolate-covered black cherries meet earth and spicy notes. Tannins are plentiful, balanced by a surprisingly fresh acidity. This powerful wine will benefit from laying down for a while before opening.
