Over the course of three days, while visiting some out-of-state beaches, I ended up with a small stack of colorful, broken pieces of plastic that didn't really belong with the other items I'd found on that trip. On another day, I might not have had the patience to sit with them and work things through, but I had time to kill that day and made best efforts to form them into something cohesive and whole.
