Vitis riparia / Wild Grape

Indigenous to North America, Vitis riparia is a climbing or trailing vine that when mature can reach the upper canopy of large trees. The fruit is smaller and more sour than the commonly cultivated varieties, but can be used to make wine and jelly, and is excellent for attracting birds.
