Handmade quilt by women in San Pedro Sula, Honduras Description Glenda is a single mother of one son and a very hard worker.  She supports herself and was able to build a new home for herself.  She is very proud of her efforts and we are too.  her desire is to purchase a large refrigerator so she can open a little "tienda" from her home.  She is excited for this prospect even though she has very little.   In the midst of her challenges, Glenda finds solace and a newfound sense of hope through sewing. She had the opportunity to learn this skill from another Maker, and it has become a therapeutic outlet in her life. Sewing provides her with a way to momentarily set aside her problems and focus on creating beautiful projects. This newfound passion not only brings light to her life but also serves as a means of supporting herself and funding her ongoing treatments for her cancer.Despite all these hardships, Glenda's strength and resilience shine through.
