AF-LMF Manual On/Off Gas Valve Kit MANUAL OPERATION: This valve kit requires the pilot to be lit manually. Once lit it can be left standing. To turn the gas on turn the control knob clockwise to the ON position. To turn the gas off turn the control knob to PILOT to keep the pilot light lit or to OFF to disengage the safety pilot valve. SAFETY FUNCTION: This unit is designed to manually close the gas flow if the oxygen level in the room is determined to be too low. Never operate this unit with the glass fireplace enclosure (doors) in the closed position. Install the Damper Clamp (included) to allow the pilot to vent. PLACEMENT: Valve box must be located a minimum of 2-inches from the side of the basket grate and never placed directly in front or behind the basket grate. Gas Valve Kit is rated to 225°F. COMPATIBILITY: This valve kit is designed to be used with 18 to 30-inch natural gas log sets (purchased separately). Optional LP conversion kits with pilot orifices are available separately. The AF-LMF features a manual On/Off gas valve and includes a complete pilot assembly with 30-millivolt thermocouple, damper clamp, and all connectors for the main burner and pilot. The kit is for use with natural gas vented logs, an optional propane conversion kit is available and sold separately. This unit has a standing pilot that must be lit manually. Once lit, the unit can be turned manually to the ON position to run the fireplace. Never operate this unit with the glass fireplace enclosure (doors) in the closed position.
