Made in the historical Takayama, Japan by Hida Sangyo, the Seoto Collection offers a striking, yet refined set of durable, functional furniture. In Japanese, seoto refers to the sound of a shallow creek, and this collection is named for the soft, but memorable impressions of the special carving techniques that accentuate the images of nature in the wood. This chair won the Good Design Award 2016. The Designer | Motomi Kawakami Renowned designer Motomi Kawakami has won numerous awards for his design prowess both in Japan and abroad, including the Japan Triennale Gold Prize and the IF prize in Germany.
