Lodge BW8LP Description The Lodge BW8LP loaf pan is sized to bake a variety of breads, from sweet babka and brioche to sourdough and sandwich loaves. It's also well suited for fruit- and vegetable-based breads with high-moisture formulas, such as pumpkin, apple, and zucchini breads. Because it's made of cast iron, the pan resists warping, denting, and bending at high temperatures. This heavy material provides high-quality heat distribution and retention for consistent, even baking, and to help prevent sticking, the cast iron is seasoned with 100 percent natural vegetable oil. It's been through Lodge's patented heat-treating process to inhibit rusting over time, and for a comfortable grip, the pan is made with a handle on each end.
