Relay Shield

The Relay Shield allows your OpenMV Cam to directly control two high-power DC and AC loads up to 60W each. It features two independent relays, which are controlled by P0 and P2 (or P1). This allows you to use the relay shield in combination with the CAN/RS232 Shield or RS422/RS485 shield, which uses P1 (or P2) and P3. If you don't need a relay, you can free up the I/O pin too. The relays can be set to be normally closed or normally open (default) independently by changing a solder-bridge jumper. Better yet! The shield features a wide voltage range 6-36V input, which is robust to reverse voltage and features robust transient surge protection. Use this input to power your OpenMV Cam from 12/24V power supplies without having to worry about damaging your camera. The wide range voltage supply outputs 5.4V on VIN via an OR'ing diode so you can power your OpenMV Cam from multiple shields with OR'ing diodes (e.g. all of our dual header column shields).
