Astro-Physics Bracket to Attach Right-Angle Polar Alignment Scope Adapter to Mach2GTO Mounts

This Bracket attaches the Right-Angle Polar Alignment Scope Adapter to a Mach2GTO Mount. The Astro-Physics Mach2GTO Mount incorporates integrated absolute encoders and fixed internal communication and power cables. As a consequence, an internal polar alignment scope option could not be used. They have designed an external RAPAS mounting system that is both high-precision and repeatable when attaching their innovative and very popular Right-Angle Polar Alignment Scope (AP-RAPAS). The bracket is a two-part adapter. A unique dovetail mounting piece is affixed to the RA wheel housing. This piece is attached via two screws and should remain with the mount. The second part of the adapter is a removable bracket. It precisely slides into place and is secured with a thumbscrew. This allows it to be removed when not in use. The removable bracket also utilizes the same push-pull adjustment feature that is found on the back of other Astro-Physics mounts. Though most users will find it unnecessary,
