The ZWO ASI183MC Pro Cooled Color CMOS Telescope Camera is incredibly efficient as a deep space camera. It can be cooled to temperatures 45 degrees Centigrade below the ambient temperature bringing thermal noise buildup down to a minimum. You can take pictures up to 33 minutes with this camera, but with a read noise of 1.6 to 3.7 electrons (depending on gain settings), exposures that long are rarely needed. When shooting deep space images at full resolution this camera pairs exceptionally well with telescopes 300 mm to 600 mm in focal length, and when binned 2 x 2, it pairs well with telescopes 1,000 mm to 1,500 mm in focal length. As a planetary and solar camera, the ASI183 is exceptional. For solar imaging, this camera can record full 20.2 mp videos at 19 frames per second and capture the entire sun with a 1350 mm focal length!
