Matassa "Olla" 2023

We are so happy we snagged some Matassa this year! One of Doreen's top 3 wines! GRAPES: 33% MACABEU, 33% MUSCAT D’ALEXANDRIE, 33% MUSCAT DE PETITS-GRAINSSKIN CONTACT: 14 DAYSREGION: LANGUEDOC-ROUSSILLON, FRANCE Vinification method: A blend of old vine Macabeu, Muscat d'Alexandrie, and Muscat à Petits Grains from 45 year old vines in the Coume de l'Olla vineyard. The soils are lime and clay, and whole cluster maceration takes 2 weeks. The wine is fermented and aged entirely in concrete.  Tasting notes: medium-bodied, juicy, blood orange, tangy Pairings: endive salad with citrus segments and candied walnuts Mix and match 3, 6 or 12 bottles!
