Grapes: 80% Souvignier Gris, 8% Gelber Muskateller, 7% Muscaris, 2.5% Bronner, 2.5% Grüner Veltliner Region: Styria, Austria  Skin contact: 30 days Producer information: Ploder-Rosenberg produces the Archaic wines made from amphoras based on their feeling. They search for the element of spirit in the wines. They are mostly fermented in qvevri. The process is very manual and based on the character of each element of the wine. Percentage as well as varieties may change between vintages. Also, it is not possible to make these wines every year (as they need to be the highest quality) so basically, they make amphora wines three to five times per decade. Vinification method: Matured on full lees for 12 months in neutral oak, the on fine lees until bottling.
