You can use standard HDMI cables up to 15 feet and high quality cables up to 30 feet. However, you can use fiber optic active HDMI cables up to 200 feet. No, in order to extract the sound, your soundbar should have an HDMI input port. If your soundbar doesnt have an HDMI input port then this product will not work for your requirements & it won't be able to extract the sound Does it support downscaling function? Yes, it does support 4k to 1080p downscaling function Does it support Dolby Atmos? Yes, the UHDS-402A does support Dolby Atmos pass-through via HDMI output. However, the optical audio output will only support up to 5.1ch Can we use Sonos Beam soundbar with UHDS-402A to get the ARC? The Beam doesn't have an HDMI input port, it has HDMI ARC port which needs to communicate directly with TV's HDMI ARC port. The UHDS-402A doesn't support HDMI ARC output. You can connect the optical audio cable to your Sonos beam with UHDS-402A. The UHD-402 supports HDMI ARC connection between the Output B display and the HDMI input 4. If you'd like to connect your Sonos beam via HDMI ARC connection then you'll need to use the UHD-402 instead. Can we use Projector and Sonos Beam soundbar with UHDS-402A to get the ARC? If your projector doesn't have an ARC HDMI port then you'll need to use a HDMI switch with audio extraction via optical output to connect it to your Beam.
