So, wavellite. It's fun, and it's cute, as well as interesting. The sparkly green orbs stand out on grey matrix. Wavellite is composed of hydrated aluminum phosphate [Al3(PO4)2(OH)3·5H2O], a common phosphate mineral that typically occurs as translucent, greenish, globular masses in crevices in aluminous metamorphic rocks, in limonite and phosphate-rock deposits, and in hydrothermal veins. Such an interesting American mineral. I was so excited to find some great specimens of it to share with you. Each one is hand chosen for it's color, shape, interest, and beauty, by me.Origin :: Mauldin Mt., Mauldin Mt. Quarries, Montgomery Co, Arkansas, USAMeasurements :: 56 x 42 x 45 mmWeight :: 2.6 oz
